The last entries were in 1995. The advent of the Internet has renewed interest and Blue Jacket bloods are electronically updating entries. The original authors were: Norma Lee (Gore) Luallen John (Jack) William Kincaid Lois (Cissy) (Greenfeather) Nowlin Beulah Virginia (Blue Jacket) Slack Viola Jean (Lafalier) Meek Marylen (McKenzie) Williams Marylen Williams of Tulsa OK is the only surviving member and is no longer involved in this genealogy. Norma Lee Luallen typed the original manuscript and Jack Kincaid entered it on his computer, however, the latter work did not survive in digital form. Katherine Roberta (Hightower) Kincaid, the Shawnee wife of Jack, from Norman OK, made Luallen's manuscript available for copying and one is on file at the Vinita Public Library in Vinita OK. Luallen's original work is archived in the Rapides Parish Library in Alexandria LA. The Blue Jacket GENEALOGY is again a work in progress. There have been some significant changes since the first manuscript was completed in 1995. Entries were numbered and those are brought forward, but new entries are not numbered. The original page numbers are maintained and no new page numbers are used. Entries are ordered by date of birth in each family. New entries are simply added to the page in which it belongs but a page number may cover several 81/2x11 sheets of hardcopy. A few of the original page numbers may not have any entries at all now. To compensate for all this, the Index is also edited to help in searching for entries. Many entries will never be edited for this or future editions. A large number of Blue Jacket blood families simply have no interest in the history of their ancestors. The posting of this work on the Internet makes it available for everyone with access to a computer and, hopefully, will attract others who would like to update their family.
