02/08/1778
Chief Black Fish’s men captured Daniel Boone * who later escaped. At the Battle of Blue Licks on the Licking River in Kentucky country, a musket ball shattered Boone's ankle and he was taken to the Miami villages where Black Fish adopted Dan'l. Six months later, Boone escaped and ran all the way back to Boonesboro on that ankle that had yet to properly heal. Black Fish gathered his men together and gave chase; attacking Boonesboro and laying siege. Lacking the siege attitude, the Indians left after several days.

Blue Jacket appointed Chief of the Pekowi Shawnees

1/31/1786
Less than two months following the signing of a treaty at Fort Finney January 31, 1786, Blue Jacket led a party of warriors toward the mouth of the Great Miami River intending to destroy the white man's fort along the Ohio River. Mother Nature intervened however and an April of 1786 flood wiped out Fort Finney before Blue Jacket arrived. See, Moneto was on Blue Jacket's side!

Chief Blue Jacket staged one of the worst U.S. Military defeats under General St. Clair (on this date)

07/08/1795
Chief Blue Jacket signed the Treaty of Greenville after General Wayne Anthony won at Fallen Timbers.

07/22/1864
Steven S. Blue Jacket enlisted in the Civil War at Olathe, Kansas. Company "D" 17th Regiment Infantry mustered out on 11/16/1864.

12/09/1891
Charles W. Bingham enlisted in the Spanish American War at Evansville, IN. Private, Troop "E" 6th Regiment Calvary. Mustered out on 02/04/1894.
